Lizy made it big!

I mentioned in my last post that we are finally opening our Photo Studio! The soft opening is next week, and the grand opening is the end of July. Lizy has been practicing for years for this day and now she gets to be our Arts and Crafts photographer!

These are a few of my favorite pictures from our photo shoot. I am a totally awkward person when it comes to photographs. I make funny faces and never know how to stand or anything. I knew Lizy was good, but when I saw these I was really impressed! Thanks Lizy!

New Pants

Why hello blog! Did you miss me? Well, the last two months have been pretty crazy. Work has been very busy and we had some unexpected hospital visits. I've been sewing a lot, since sewing is what I do for stress relief... I've actually made three quilt tops in the last few months! (That I haven't blogged yet.)

One of the most exciting things going on at work is that we are FINALLY opening the photo studio! It's been in the planning now for like four years! And it's finally opening. I'm sure I'll be blogging about it once we get it open. I want to share pictures with my old Crafts peeps!

Anyway, guess who's the photographer... Lizy!!! We've been working on the studio lighting and everything, and she took some pictures of me in the studio. The ones below are just to show off my new pants.

This is my tried and true Vogue 1051 pants pattern. I still love it!
The fabric is from online. I've forgotten now, but I think it was fabric.com. It has a herringbone texture. It's a nice weight, but it snags really easily.
I tried something a little different with this pair. I used contrast fabric for the welt pockets and the facings on the inside.
I found some "fauxberry" burberry look fabric on Spoonflower that I will be using on my next pair of khaki trousers. I used this pair as a test run to see if I like it before I use the "good" stuff.

I'll be traveling to the States soon, so I may stay behind on the blog for awhile longer, but at some point I'll catch up. I have lots of things to photograph!
